New song up! Give a hearty listen, and let me know whatcha think. Also, if someone would be heartily kind enough to let me know, do you think this is better suited for the miscellaneous or general rock tag, or is it okay under industrial? Thanks, and enjoy, me hearties!

Hearty!

There's new songs on the way, I'm just trying to figure out how to end them. I've been having a lot of trouble with endings lately, I reach a point where it just stops and I have no idea what comes next. What do they call that? Writer's block! Yea!

I would like to petition anybody who happens by today for any advice on dealing with it. Especially when the parts of the song that are down get so ingrained in your mind, that all that you can think of is what's already been written. My thanks go out to ye in advance.

But, if you feel so inclined, I have finally gotten back into my old account and I invite you to have a look around the museum of music that sits there. From an age where I was the member of a fledgling Counter-Strike clan, and hadn't quite figured out what the hell I was doing. I was in college then, trying to compensate for a perceived lack in awesome. I had yet to realize that the things I was doing in college had almost no bearing on the life I wanted to live. It was a lifetime ago! Now I'm awesome because I say so, damn it!

Er... well, the account is located here. It really is a strange mix of stuff, most of which may hurt your head. But again, if you feel so inclined, then I do so invite you to have a listen. Now I'm just wondering if I should change my name to "The artist formerly known as Narflebeans." I never could figure out what a Narflebean was. But I know it would have to be delicious.

Well, enjoy my friends, and thanks for tuning in!

Picture Unrelated but Awesome

For those whom it may concern: Not dead.

I've got 2 new songs up for your listening pleasure (hopefully). Both are pretty much dedicated to late nights, one for chilling, one for killing (but in a way stylized, wild westerny way). Please give them a listen and let me know your thoughts.

I'm sure this has been posted by a billion different internet users on a billion different planets, but you can't hardly google any name or username without finding a billion different iterations. Apparently the theory of parallel coexisting universes is true, as any one person seems to exist simultaneously in different lives.

Holy crap.

Also, I'm giving a try at animating, with or without (in this case, without) one o' dem fancy schmancy wacom tablets. For some reason I let that stop me before (and we'll find out if that logic was founded or not), but I'll be bringing my first flash cartoon to newgrounds soon, most likely within the month. Sketch book and scanner. That's all I need.

Well, not really. I would love one of dem there wacoms tableteurs, cuz I'm cooking up an epic series I is.

We'll see if that ever comes to fruition though. Right now, I'm teaching myself the basics. So look out world, some guy that no one's ever heard of is gonna make a internet debut, and it's gonna be a good 'un. Or a weird 'un. Yeah, that's more the way this cartoon is shaping up.

And to anyone brave enough to venture forth into this unknown blog, buried under the depths of millions more with a million more interesting things to say, I offer a hand of gratitude.

I keep it in formaldehyde.

That's kind of gross. I'm sorry.

Instead of something musical in the next few weeks, there'll be a flash cartoon co-written by Holy-Howard and I (He'll also be animating and I'll be voicing). The next episode in the "help fill the gap between the official 'Meet the' team fortress videos" series. The recording phase is just about done with just some cutting and editing to do, so look out for this one in about a month or two. I'll also be posting a blooper reel in the audio section for any who are interested.

ECHO..ECHo..ECho..Echo..echo..cho..ho.
.o.......

Here there be dragons...

I'll post something some day, but today is not that day. But there might be something musical around the corner in a few weeks.

I'm releasing a few loops and a full length version of a song called Mr. Sonic's Wild Ride this week.

This song has seen many, many incarnations over the last two years, but I finally found a direction and jumped in. It started as an excuse to experiment with the guitar patches in Reason and try to tweak them into sounding like real guitars. The song itself was originally a kind of techno, rock thing, but it was pretty terrible so I scrapped the project for awhile.

I came back to it a few months later and it became what it is today. Please enjoy!

Technical things:

The pieces of the medley are: Robotnik 2, Robotnik 1, Final Boss, Sonic & Knuckles Intro, 1up, and the Outro I believe. The mini-boss / boss songs are out of order because of, let's say, unknown circumstances.

4 songs:

Mr. Sonic's Wild Ride
Robotnik's First (Loop)
Robotnik's Second (Loop)
Robotnik's Finale (Loop)

I did have to take the bit rate down on the full song to 112 to get it small enough for Newgrounds to take it, but I think it still sounds pretty good. The loops are at 192.

Let me know how they sound to you!
